Home
Home is the shelf. Open it from the house icon at the top left. Two views toggle at the top: Projects and Library.
The header
A time-aware greeting with your name, then the numbers that matter: words written today, words written yesterday, and the date on the right. That is the whole dashboard. No streaks, no badges, no guilt.
Finding a project
- Filter narrows the shelf: All Projects, Manuscripts, or Screenplay.
- Sort orders it: Recent, Date created, Name, or Kind.
- Search (the magnifying glass) opens an inline “Search your projects” field that filters as you type.
Project cards
Each project is a book-style poster with its kind (MANUSCRIPT or SCREENPLAY), its title, “by [you]”, and when you last touched it. Hover a card for a quick preview: what is inside (“1 Draft · 1 Note”) and when it was created and edited.
Right-click any card for the full menu:
| Menu item | What it does |
|---|---|
| Open | Opens the project in the current pane. |
| Open in split | Opens it in a second pane, next to what you already have. |
| Open as folder | Shows the project’s contents as files: its drafts and everything on its Plan. |
| More info | The project card: counts, dates, and the metadata fields (see below). |
| Rename | Renames the project in place. |
| Edit Poster | Opens the poster editor: style, color, or your own image. |
| Duplicate | A full copy of the project, drafts and Plan included. |
| Move to Trash | Sends the project to the Trash. Recoverable for 30 days. |
More info: the project card
More info opens a card with the poster, the contents count, created and edited dates, and quick buttons (Open, poster, rename, Open as folder). Below, an ABOUT section holds fields you control: Author, Category, Date, Description, and Companion instructions, which steer Companion for this project only (“British spelling. Never suggest plot changes.”). Add your own fields, like Location or Status, with the Add field button. Metadata keeps the Library searchable, and if you use Companion, it reads these fields too.
